- The SHOUT National Secondary School Environmental Speech Competition empowers youth to become environmental leaders. It engages students aged 12-18 to raise awareness on sustainability issues through speeches, with the winner receiving a grant to execute an eco-friendly project at their school. The general objective is to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable practices among students. Pedagogically, it integrates environmental education, developing critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills. The competition benefits hundreds of secondary school students annually. Implemented once a year, it has led to impactful projects like water purification systems and hydroponic gardens in schools, contributing to sustainability. Through SHOUT, students gain a deeper understanding of environmental issues and take proactive steps to protect their communities, creating lasting positive change.
